The Role of This Website

Chatham County Released Inmates is an independent reference site. It does not maintain government booking, custody, release, court, probation, parole, federal, or immigration records. It cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, authorize or complete a release, post bond, change a public record, or submit documents on a visitor’s behalf.

The site points readers toward resources operated by the Chatham County Sheriff, North Carolina courts, NCDAC, VINELink, BOP, ICE, and other record custodians. It may also connect visitors with outside research tools. Official North Carolina records remain subject to the rules of their government custodians, including the North Carolina Public Records Act in Chapter 132 and any applicable confidentiality law.

Acceptable Use Rules

• Do not use information found here to stalk, harass, intimidate, or threaten another person.

Its advertising and search partners do not provide screening services through this site. Custody status and public records can change quickly. Nothing published here is an official statement from the Chatham County Sheriff, a jail, NCDAC, a court, or another government agency. Confirm material facts with the office that originated the record.
